One Beach Fiji Movement Begins with Natadola Clean-Up

Natadola, Fiji, 8 June 2026 : A coalition of Fiji’s leading hotels and a new community initiative will come together on Saturday, 11 July to launch a national coastal clean-up movement at Natadola Beach, aiming to reduce waste entering the ocean and protect one of the country’s most recognised natural assets.   

The inaugural One Beach Fiji clean-up will bring together local communities, hotel teams, guests and partners for a three-hour effort along Natadola Beach on the Coral Coast. Organised as an open, inclusive initiative, the event marks the beginning of a broader campaign to restore and protect Fiji’s coastlines, starting with one beach at a time. 

Partners include FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels – InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva – alongside community and private sector collaborators. The hotels’ involvement reflects a wider commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable tourism, aligned with IHG Hotels and Resorts’ Journey to Tomorrow framework. 

In the lead-up to the clean-up, the hotel group will host fundraising ‘Cup of Kindness’ activations across Suva and Natadola, with proceeds supporting this community-led environmental effort.

One Beach Fiji has been established as a long-term environmental pride campaign, built on the principle that protecting Fiji’s natural environment is a shared responsibility. The initiative focuses on practical action, community participation, and awareness, with the goal of preventing waste from entering fragile marine ecosystems.
