FNPF-Owned IHG Fiji Hotels Raise FJ$14,000 During Pinktober

Friday, 06 November 2026 (Natadola, Fiji): FNPF-owned IHG Hotels & Resorts properties, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva and Holiday Inn Suva, have collectively raised FJ$14,000 for the Fiji Cancer Society following a month-long Pinktober fundraising and awareness campaign held throughout October.

The campaign brought together hotel guests, colleagues and local communities through a series of initiatives designed to support those affected by cancer while promoting the importance of early detection and education. Activities included "Cup of Kindness" coffee sales, donations from food and beverage sales, and contributions from selected spa treatments across the three hotels.

Guests and colleagues supported Pinktober through "Cup of Kindness" coffee sales activities held across InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel and Holiday Inn Suva.

The month commenced with Grand Pacific Hotel illuminating its historic façade in pink, creating a visible symbol of support for breast cancer awareness and the wider Pinktober movement. Colleagues across all three hotels also participated in a dedicated day dressed in pink, helping to raise awareness of breast cancer and Frocktober while encouraging important conversations around health and wellbeing.

Grand Pacific Hotel illuminated its iconic façade in pink to mark the start of Pinktober, demonstrating support for breast cancer awareness and those affected by cancer across Fiji.

A key focus of this year's programme was education and prevention. Representatives from the Fiji Cancer Society, alongside cancer survivors, were invited to the three hotels to share personal experiences and deliver awareness sessions for colleagues. At InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, female colleagues were also provided access to breast and cervical health screenings as part of the property's commitment to preventive healthcare and early intervention.

The funds raised will be donated directly to the Fiji Cancer Society to support its ongoing work providing care, guidance and support services for individuals and families affected by cancer throughout Fiji.
