FNPF-Owned IHG Fiji Hotels Raise $60k For Community Through Giving for Good Month

Thursday, 01 October 2026 (Suva, Fiji): InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva and Holiday Inn Suva, have concluded their September Giving for Good activities, raising a combined FJ$60,000 through a charity golf tournament and a month-long fundraising campaign supporting community causes across Fiji. The initiatives formed part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ annual Giving for Good programme, which encourages hotels worldwide to create positive impact in the communities they serve.

The largest fundraising activity was the Giving for Good Charity Golf Tournament, held on 26 September 2026 at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, which brought together corporate partners, suppliers and supporters from across Fiji's business and tourism sectors. The event raised FJ$46,000, with proceeds directed towards refurbishment works at Sigatoka Hospital.

The fundraising effort was complemented by a month-long Stay for Good campaign in support of The Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen in Suva, where FJ$1 from every eligible room night stayed at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva and Holiday Inn Suva throughout September was pledged to the organisation. A total of $14,000 will be donated to assist the Soup Kitchen's ongoing work providing meals and care for people experiencing hardship and vulnerability in the Suva community.

Together, the two fundraising initiatives demonstrate the collective commitment of FNPF-owned IHG hotels in Fiji, their guests, sponsors and business partners to supporting local communities through practical and measurable action.

Giving for Good Month is IHG Hotels & Resorts' annual global initiative that encourages hotel teams to volunteer, fundraise and support causes important to their local communities. Across Fiji, the programme brought together hospitality professionals, corporate partners, local charities and community organisations in a shared effort to create meaningful social impact beyond the hotel environment.
